Seven

Seven is a great crime thriller starring Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacy, and Gwyneth Paltrow. In it Pitt and Freeman play 2 detectives chasing down a serial killer who is brutally punishing people for committing the seven deadly sins (pride, wrath, lust,envy, sloth, gluttony, and greed). Every actor in this is spectacular, but for some reason I find that this movie isn't all that well known. Do yourself a favor and pick this up for a rental at the very least if you've never seen it before.

Two Lovers

Two Lovers is a new to blu-ray movie starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Joaquin Phoenix.  In it Joaquin Phoenix plays a who finds himself torn between two women; an old friend of the family (Vinessa Shaw) and an exciting and new party girl neighbor of his (Paltrow). Pink Panther 2

The Pink Panther 2 follows Steve Martin as the main character (Inspector Clouseau) in this sequel to the first remake of the older Pink Panther series. A hilarious comedy with a huge cast including, but not limited to, Alfred Molina, Steve Martin, John Cleese, Andy Garcia, and Jean Reno, this movie will have you busting up laughing for a good hour and a half. The 2nd in this movie series picks up a little bit after where the first left off. Unfortunately, since recovering the Pink Panther diamond in Paris at the end of the first movie, Inspector Clouseau has sadly been demoted to doling out parking tickets. The Code

The Code is a great new addition to the blu-ray library this week.  Its a movie about a couple of thieves (Antonio Banderas and Morgan Freeman) who happen to team up for the seemingly impossible task of stealing two Faberge Eggs in New York.  As is the case in movies, things take an unexpected turn and become even more impossible when Freeman's grandaughter is kidnapped by the KGB.
